Materials + Care
Gold Filled
Gold-filled jewelry is made by mechanically bonding a layer of gold, at least 5% of the item’s total weight, onto a base metal. Because of the mechanically bonding process, gold-filled jewelry does not rub off, and it has 100x more gold than gold plated. Gold-filled jewelry waterproof, tarnish resistant, and great for sensitive skins.
Gold Plated
Gold plated jewelry is made by coating a base metal with a thin later of gold through electroplated process which gives it a shiny gold hue.
Sterling Silver
Sterling silver jewelry is jewelry made primarily from an alloy of silver containing 92.5% by weight of silver and 7.5% by weight of other metals.
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is made from a metal alloy that contains iron, chromium and other elements. Stainless steel is known for its durable, scratch and tarnish resistant.
Care Guide:
Use a solid cloth to remove and dirt of oils after each wear. Store your jewelry in a dry, airtight container or jewelry box, to prevent tarnishing and scratches. Avoid harsh chemicals such as: perfumes, lotions, cleaning products, chlorine, etc. It is best to keep gold plated jewelry dry, avoid wearing when swimming, showering, exercising etc.
How To Fix Loose Huggie Hoop Earrings:
It is normal for huggie hoop earrings become loose overtime. This is due to normal wear and tear from the constant opening and closing of the hoop. Sometimes, if closed too aggressively, or with force, this causes the hinges to become misaligned which causes a loose huggie hoop that won't stay closed.
Slightly push the lever (post that goes in the piercing hole) up very gently. Once aligned correctly, the huggie hoop will close securely and it should "click" into place.
